With the passage of SBs 2D and 4D at the recent Special Legislative Session, which contain significant changes to inspection and financial requirements for Florida Condominiums and Co-ops, we will be conducting an open discussion with some of our membership experts in law, engineering, and reserve funding offering their initial impressions on the theoretical and practical application of these new requirements.  The text of these two bills is available through the link below.  This meeting is members only.

Through an open forum discussion, several BAM industry experts including Expert Inspectors, Karins Engineering, Kistimaker Business Law, United Engineering, and Wright & Casey provide early insight into the recently passed Senate Bills 2D and 4D.  We had a spirited and vibrant discussion as there were many questions about requirements and implementation.  It was advised that our CAM members start working with their boards to prepare for these changes while watching for changes and further clarification to these requirements as the state legislature and controlling government entities provide additional information.  We want to thank our associate member experts for sharing their insights.  Two bill summaries supplied by Associate members are linked below.
